SalaryWe are seeking a well-organised, proactive, and flexible individual for the role of Behaviour Mentor.
As a crucial member of the Behaviour & Inclusion Team, the Behaviour Mentor will play a key role in providing support for students facing social, emotional, and/or behavioural challenges. This role involves helping students overcome barriers to learning both inside and outside of school, empowering them to achieve their full potential.
This role may often include the role of covering pre-planned lessons in the absence of a class teacher, or assisting the class teacher during lessons working on a 1:1 basis or with small groups of challenging pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the provision of tailored support for students with social, emotional, and/or behaviour difficulties.
- Implement and support positive behaviour strategies across the school as part of the Behaviour & Inclusion Team.
- Make a significant impact on individual students' lives and successes by fostering strong, effective relationships.
- Work collaboratively with other adults to ensure impactful provision for young people.
- Develop and maintain a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Relevant expereince working with children/vulnerable adults with behavioural issues would be an advantage.
- Previous experience working with SEND, challenging behaviour, youth offending, youth work or sports coaching
- Strong GCSE results in English and Maths - good background subject knowledge
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and emphatic listening skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
