Job description

Job Title: Behaviour Mentors Wanted Location: South East England, East Sussex, Hailsham Job Type: Permanent, expected to work Full-Time hours Salary: £400 - £420 Per week Job Duties: Supporting and mentoring students with challenging behaviours Implementing behaviour management strategies and interventions Developing individualised behaviour plans Assessing and monitoring student behaviour and progress Providing guidance and support to students in various educational settings Collaborating with teachers and parents to create a supportive learning environment Implementing positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desired behaviours Managing crisis situations and de-escalating challenging behaviours Recording and documenting student behaviour and progress Participating in team meetings and providing updates on student progress Required Qualifications: Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work effectively with students exhibiting challenging behaviours Patience, empathy, and resilience Experience in behaviour management or a related field Ability to follow policies and procedures Excellent problem-solving skills Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent Experience: Prior experience working with students with challenging behaviours Experience in an educational or support role Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of behaviour management principles and techniques Familiarity with special educational needs and learning difficulties Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures Ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with students Organisational and time management skills Preferred Qualifications: Relevant certification in behaviour management or counselling Additional training in special educational needs Working Conditions: Work primarily takes place in educational settings, such as schools or colleges May involve working with students individually or in small groups Potential exposure to challenging behaviours and crisis situations Regular collaboration and communication with teachers, parents, and other professionals Full-Time position with regular working hours All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
