Salary: Support Staff Pay Scale E: £21,246 to £22,720 pro-rata per annum (£24,29 - £25,979 per annum full time/full year equivalent)

Working Weeks: Term Time plus 1 weeks (39 weeks)

Wayland Academy is seeking a reliable, dynamic and responsible person for the role of Behaviour Officer to support and supervise students who have been temporarily removed from lessons in the Academy.

The position holder will provide immediate support for behavioural incidents which take place and work with students, parents and staff to support a smooth reintegration back into the learning environment.

This ideal candidate will be able to establish good relationships with students, acting as a role model and being aware of and responding accordingly to their individual needs. There will be a need for top quality organisational skills and confidence in communicating with a range of different stakeholders.

Wayland Academy is an oversubscribed and highly performing secondary school in the heart of Norfolk with a positive atmosphere and low staff turnover. In 2022 62% of students achieved grades 9-5 in English and mathematics and achieved a Progress 8 score of +0.56, positioning the school as one of the highest performing secondary schools in Norfolk and Suffolk.
