YSA are currently looking to recruit a Behaviour Support Assistant to work in a lovely SEND School.
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in assisting students who require additional support in managing challenging behaviours within the school environment. Your dedication and patience will be instrumental in helping these students overcome obstacles and achieve their academic and personal goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with challenging behaviour.
- Collaborate closely with the school's SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and teaching staff.
- Implement behaviour management plans and strategies tailored to individual students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
- Help students develop self-regulation and conflict resolution skills.
- Act as a role model and mentor for students.
- Monitor and record behaviour data accurately.
- Liaise with parents and guardians to communicate progress and strategies.
- Assist with crisis intervention when necessary.
