Behaviour Support Worker x 2 posts Grade 5 £25,979 - £27,803 pa pro rata
Actual salary £21,887.00 per annum
37 Hours per week (Monday – Friday 8.00am - 4.00pm)
Term time onlyStart Date: ASAP

Interview to be held: w/c 22 January 2024 Behaviour Support workers play a crucial role in supporting students to ensure their physical, social and emotional needs are effectively met. This role will involve working with young people who are finding the rigours of school life a challenge. Building relationships with these students is key. The work is challenging but rewarding, with opportunity to a have real and measurable impact, removing barriers to education for young people and supporting them within the educational setting – educationally and pastorally.
We are seeking someone who can provide consistent and targeted support and at times, specific interventions. They will provide practical support, guidance and training in behaviour management and associated strategies to support students’ learning. There will be a focus on breaking down barriers that hamper access to learning. The role will involve staffing the schools new Behaviour Support Room and supporting school wide in responding to call outs from teachers. The successful candidates will form a new team that sits alongside our pastoral team and systems.
The ideal candidate will have: Patience, resilience, and understanding Emotional intelligence Proven skills in problem-solving and conflict resolution A clear and positive communication manner. Able to communicate effectively and professionally with staff, students, parents, and other outside agencies Knowledge of using different IT software and analytical skills Relevant experience of working with young people in a learning or community environment Enthusiasm and be committed to working as part of a team, as well as on own initiative The ability to remain calm and professional at all times Support the School policies on safeguarding and child protection Flexibility of working hours, committed and reliable with excellent timekeeping
