Salary:£75-£90 per day
About Us:
Empowering Learning is currently seeking dedicated and experienced Behaviour Support Workers for full-time roles in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Primary school in Slough. The school specializes in Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) support for children aged 5-11 with various needs, such as ADHD, SEMH, ASD, and complex requirements.
Responsibilities:
As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will be working closely with young learners, providing essential support and guidance to those with social and emotional mental health needs. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Demonstrating a passion for working with young learners and a commitment to their development.
- Implementing effective behaviour management strategies to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Establishing clear boundaries and expectations for the students.
- Collaborating with the teaching staff and other support professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student well-being.
- Working with children ranging from 5-11 years old.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Previous experience in a classroom setting, with a focus on Behaviour Support.
- Compassion, empathy, and the ability to connect with students.
- Desirable experience in youth work, youth support work, or with young offenders.
- The ability to work with children who have special needs, including ADHD, SEMH, ASD, and complex needs.
- Excellent behaviour management skills.
