Teaching Personnel are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant which is able to assist pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH) and challenging behaviour. This will be situated within a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU), therefore an age range of 3-19 will apply. The job role is situated within Port Talbot.

We are looking for an individual which is enthusiastic to make a difference and be able to de-escalate, distract and keep pupils calm and collected during their scheduled learning times. As you can appreciate, the school will not adopt a typical school environment and experience in this area is preferred as you will be expected to provide a vocational approach to learning and engage in de-escalation when required.

Pay - £12.90 per hour / £419.25 per week (gross)

Location – Port Talbot

Contract type – Starting 2nd September, Temporary to Permanent
