Job description

If so, Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Tutor to join our team and work within a specialist department at a mainstream secondary school in Hull.

As a Behaviour Tutor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students' learning and development. You will be responsible for running small group sessions, catering to the individual needs of up to 4 students. Your primary focus will be on enhancing literacy, numeracy, social skills, and overall personal development.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and interactive small group sessions tailored to students' specific needs.
  • Provide targeted support to students to improve literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Foster the development of social skills and emotional resilience among students.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment conducive to academic and personal growth.
  • Conduct assessments and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a coordinated approach to student support and development.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working with students in an educational setting.
  • Experience working within a behaviour setting previously
  • Ideally QTS or a PGCE in FE
  • Strong understanding of behavioural management strategies and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to plan and deliver effective teaching sessions tailored to individual student needs.
  • Dedication to promoting student engagement, motivation, and achievement.
