About Us:Bembridge Sailing Club has been a cornerstone of the local community since 1886. Nestled in the picturesque town of Bembridge on the Isle of Wight, our club boasts stunning views of the Solent and offers a warm and welcoming environment for sailors and visitors alike. Our bar and restaurant facilities provide a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for members and guests to unwind and socialize after a day on the water.
Position Overview: You will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional customer service to our members and visitors. Your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting members and visitor warmly and providing excellent hospitality throughout their visit.
- Taking drink and food orders accurately and efficiently.
- Preparing and serving beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Setting up for events (to include moving furniture)
- Managing stock levels.
- Upholding high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the bar and front of house areas.
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth operations and a positive guest experience.
Requirements: The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a bar or restaurant setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong multitasking abilities and the capacity to work effectively under pressure.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to go above and beyond to meet customer needs.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A passion for providing outstanding service and contributing to a welcoming atmosphere.
