Job Description
This post will fill a vital role in our core business of campervan conversion and fitting. We are one of Scotland's largest campervan design and conversion companies, offering an exciting role working with a highly skilled and enthusiastic team creating top-end, hand-built leisure vehicles. This is a post open to creative and skilled craftsmen experienced in cabinetmaking, design, joinery, carpentry, and similar activities. We offer a progressive package with salary reflecting performance, skill, and experience.

Fitting camper conversion kits to vans including:
- building and adapting designs/drawings
- building plywood cabinets, beds, benches from raw materials using hand and power tools
- Basic plumbing of sink & taps
- Basic electrical work
- Lamination of plywood
- Testing the build prior passing to production
- Fitting units into vehicles within allocated times
Other activities:
- maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security in the work environment
- servicing previously converted vans
- updating vehicle maintenance databases, identify required maintenance and ensure work is done to good standard
- working with CNC machines (is an advantage)
- joinery/carpentry/cabinet making
- an aptitude for car maintenance
- electrical maintenance and looming
- metal fabrication (cutting etc)
- team-working ability

Training and development
Personal skills and qualities are highly valued. Any time spent shop fitting or cabinet making as well as more relevant skills such as campervan/motorhome fitting is highly valued. Training will be provided to skill or accreditation areas that are out of date or need additional specialisation in leisure vehicle fitting. Campers Scotland believes strongly in supporting staff in developing skills and experience that is beneficial to both parties. We will fund in part or full training that directly improves staff ability both professionally and where appropriate personally.
