Location: Office based/various site visits across Blackburn. Some flexibility for hybrid once trained.

Hourly PAYE rate: £16.63

We are seeking two Financial Assessors to join our Adult Social Care finance function on a temporary basis for an initial period of 3-6 months. The role involves financially assessing individuals to establish their contribution towards care costs. This is a vital position that requires a clean driving licence, excellent time management skills, and the ability to manage workloads effectively.
Day to Day of the role:
- Conduct financial assessments for Adult Social Care clients, both face-to-face and via telephone.
- Ensure benefit entitlements for clients are maximised through thorough assessments and support with claims.
- Assist in clearing backlogs and contribute to the implementation of new working practices to enhance efficiency.
- Manage your own appointments and workload with flexible working arrangements after training.
- Develop and maintain accurate reconciliations of financial systems and ensure a robust audit trail of transactions.
- Provide cover for Team Leaders and support the management and leadership of the People Transaction Finance Team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Ideal candidates must have up to date DWP benefits experience
- Experience preferably within Social Services in the Public Sector.
- Experience of working with vulnerable people and their families.
- Proficiency with IT systems, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical and interpretation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
