Doncaster Council is seeking a dedicated Best Interest Assessor to join our team. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to decision-making processes that uphold the rights and well-being of vulnerable adults.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting Best Interest assessments in accordance with the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
- Evaluating complex situations involving vulnerable adults to determine their Best Interests.
- Collaborating with individuals, families, and multidisciplinary teams to gather relevant information and make informed decisions.
- Providing clear and concise reports outlining assessment findings and recommendations.
Requirements:
- Qualified Best Interest Assessor with relevant experience.
- Knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and associated legislation.
- Registered with a relevant professional body (e.g., Social Work England, Nursing and Midwifery Council).
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to reach balanced decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach.
