They are a leading carbon-neutral supplier of medical and surgical devices who are dedicated to helping clinicians deliver the best possible outcomes for their patients. They offer high quality products, dedicated technical support, effective training, and education, as well as a clinical nurse team with decades of experience. They have over 50 years of experience with four of their products being used every second worldwide and are looking to expand their data team with a new BI Consultant.
Your new role
Working in an exciting and challenging role, you will be pitching, developing, managing & maintaining BI solutions and projects primarily using Qlik Sense Enterprise Edition. You will provide accurate data analytics across the business using various data sources including SQL Server, AS400 & Cache databases via ODBC with a focus on process efficiency and continuous improvement. You will also be supporting the management and integration of distributor supplied sales figures.

A complete induction and training program will ensure you get the best possible start in your new role while ensuring you are then able to confidently take on project-based tasks in the first three months of your appointment.
They are looking for an individual who is confident to not only work as part of the team, but someone who can also work effectively on their own while managing and contributing to multiple projects. Excellent time management is therefore essential, and you will never be bored!
You will also be required to deliver or facilitate delivery of relevant training to new application users or user groups to drive engagement with the current BI solution/framework.

What you\'ll need to succeed
You will have excellent attention to detail and have experience working with a data-driven BI solution (Qlik Sense, Power BI, Tableau etc) to develop dashboards, reports & visualisations. As a result, you will also be familiar with managing complex data sets as well as be able to demonstrate experience with data modelling and be an experienced user of relational databases with an understanding of DSDM Agile principals to efficiently deliver tasks/projects. You will also be able to demonstrate your understanding of ETL/ELT, cloud-based data systems and SQL query language. Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all management levels with the capability to deal with multiple tasks/projects and achieve time-bound objectives within a busy department.
Key duties and responsibilities

• Develop and manage BI solutions using Qlik Sense Enterprise Edition and relational databases, adhering to Agile principles.
• Create operational BI dashboards and reports in line with SLAs and project specifications.
• Distribute scheduled and ad-hoc reports to stakeholders using Qlik Sense Enterprise Edition and MS Excel.
• Analyse business processes to drive efficiencies through technology and data.
• Maintain technical and operational documentation in line with business and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure data standards and quality for accurate reporting and insights.
• Manage the BI workflow and support team tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in line with DSDM Agile principles.
• Recommend improvements for the BI team experience and support departmental users.
• Maintain professional relationships with all colleagues, customers, clients, agents, and third-party business partners.
