Are you an experienced Best Interest Assessor seeking a rewarding opportunity in Shropshire? We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our team, contributing to the well-being and safeguarding of vulnerable individuals in our community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct Best Interest Assessments (BIA) for individuals lacking mental capacity, ensuring a thorough and person-centered approach.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, health professionals, and social care providers to gather relevant information for assessments.
• Provide expert advice on the Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, and other relevant legislation.
• Write clear, concise, and accurate reports outlining assessment findings and recommendations.
• Uphold professional standards and ethics in line with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• Qualified Best Interest Assessor with relevant professional registration.
• Proven experience conducting BIAs within a social care or healthcare setting.
• In-depth knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with service users, families, and professionals.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
