As a dynamic and experienced consulting, technology and engineering services company, the business is involved in a variety of projects ranging from the design and development of space systems to the management of launch services and in-orbit satellite control.
Join our partner’s team as a Bid Manager and spearhead the efforts to capture exciting new projects with the European Space Agency (ESA).
The successful Bid Manager will lead and manage the entire bidding process, from analysing tender documents to crafting compelling proposals.
Key Responsibilities for the Bid Manager:
- Lead a multidisciplinary team, expertly managing the entire bid process from start to finish.
- Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders across sales, technical, legal, and finance departments.
- Analyse tender documents, identify requirements and ensure all bid deliverables are submitted accurately and on time.
- Craft compelling bid documents, including Statements of Work and requirements for subcontractor roles.
- Manage cost estimates, maintain project reports, and ensure financial compliance throughout the bidding process.
- Travel to European/international end-user sites as required.
Key Skills and Experience for the Bid Manager:
- Experience in Earth Observations software and systems/applications and/or SatCom engineering software and systems.
- Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant technical subject (e.g., Physics, Remote Sensing, Geology, Civil, Computer Science, Engineering, Environmental Science).
- Understanding of the broader Earth Observation and/or Satcom engineering marketplace.
- Track record of managing and delivering successful bids.
- Knowledge of bid governance process including scheduling bid management activities.
- Comfortable working in an international environment.
