SalaryFawkes & Reece South are working with a regional contractor that works in collaboration with local authorities and private clients. They are a principal contractor that works on projects that are worth £4m and £10 million but also self deliver on schemes worth over £12m. They work on projects that have a scope of works that includes port expansions, sea defence structures, urban regenerations, flood alleviation schemes, wastewater treatment works, roads and infrastructure.
They are seeking a Bid Manager or Senior Bid Manager to join a small team whilst reporting directly to their Head of Preconstruction. In this role you will be responsible for developing processes to improve the bidding process and governance to ensure consistency in all tendered work. As a Bid Manager you'll be offering support to Bid Writers, Planners and Estimators to ensure every tender produced is to the highest standard and meeting the client requirements.
Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Continually evaluate winning strategy and directing team and resources to focus on activities which will enhance chance of bid success
- Agreeing bid budget and monitor expenditure
- Keeping senior management informed of development on tender and gain acceptance of key decision points
- Communication management and interface with joint venture partners and key supply chain
- Overseeing and be involved with tender commercial strategy
- Handover to the project delivery team for successful tenders
- Developing storyboards for proposal documents and developing a bid writing guide for non-bid professionals
Requirements including certificates and qualifications:
Experience working as a Bid Manager on construction projects
Proven experience in bid?management or bid coordination?and?quality writing
Candidates must be able to prove their eligibility to work in the UK
