We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Bid Manager to join one of our clients on a permanent basis, to work within the preconstruction department on various projects across the education, healthcare, and defence sectors.
This is a technical position requiring planning and construction programming experience carried out in similar roles within the highlighted sectors.
You will be based full time in Oxford however hybrid working could be negotiated upon application.

Key duties:
- To lead, manage and contribute to preconstruction tenders.
- Ability to draft answers to tender questions (both technical and qualitative).
- Review tender documentation (drawings, specification etc) and prepare construction programme, methodology and logistic plans, and then coordinate this with wider tender team.
- Ensure timely completion of tenders to a high quality.
Experience:
- Demonstrable experience of successfully bidding and participating within regional and/or national frameworks.
- Experience of successfully bidding schemes that include multiple phases during the tender process.
- Experience of varying sectors within construction, but must include education, healthcare and defence.
- Must have planning and construction programming experience.
- Experience of framework delivery methods and requirements, and forms of contract, including design and build, two stage negotiated projects.
- Must have excellent construction sector understanding and working knowledge. Understanding of traditional and alternative construction methods.
- Have competence in IT skills, especially Word, Publisher and Excel.
- Working on preconstruction tenders.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
