Job title: Bid Manager
Location: Remote with 2 days a month on site
Salary: £45k - £65k plus car/ car allowance and bonus scheme (OTE £75k - £80k)
• Our client is a Digital and Technology Recruitment and Project Solutions organisation, with Enhanced Government Accreditation. Turnover sits at around £300m per annum with around 80% of that coming from Governmental organisations
• The business has a professional working culture with low staff turnover. Very financially stable and well-established business with the Project Solutions business unit resembling more of a start up meaning the new Bid Manager can operate quite entrepreneurially and really make the role their own.
• Due to organic growth of their Project/ Client Solutions Business unit, they are now looking to hire an experienced and hands on Bid Manager to be responsible for overseeing the entire Solutions bid process, from identifying and qualifying new opportunities to submitting winning proposals.
Key responsibilities of the Bid Manager will include but may not be limited to:
* Identifying and qualifying new bid opportunities from PQQ/ SQ stage through to submission: Researching potential clients and projects to determine if they are a good fit for the company's products or services. Assess the company’s chances of winning the bid based on their experience and knowledge of the market.
* Developing and executing bid strategies: Must be competent in creating detailed plans for each bid, outlining the company's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT). Also working closely with the Sales, Marketing and Finance teams to develop a pricing strategy that is competitive and profitable.
* Preparing and submitting bid proposals: The new Bid Manager will write and edit bid documentation, including proposals, presentations, and supporting materials. They will ensure that all bids are submitted on time and meet all client requirements. To note, there will also be other people involved in the bid production process.
* Working to tight deadlines: This is a fast paced role with bids typically being turnaround within short timescales (2-3 weeks) therefore it is essential that the new Bid Manager be experienced in working to tight deadlines and short timescales
* Evaluating bid outcomes: The Bid manager will analyze the results of each bid to identify areas for improvement. They will also track win-loss ratios and other key metrics to measure the success of the bid team.
