Are you an experienced Bid Writer, ready to craft compelling narratives that win hearts and contracts? Elior UK is seeking a dynamic Bid Writer to join our team and elevate our sales game to new heights!
Our offices are based in London and Macclesfield, linked via good public transport routes. We offer comprehensive learning & development opportunities, and an engaging work atmosphere. What you'll be doing...
As a Bid Writer, you'll be the mastermind behind our winning proposals, weaving together words that showcase the unparalleled value Elior UK brings to the table. Reporting to our Senior Bid Writer, you'll dive into the heart of our business, collaborating with cross-functional teams to create captivating content that resonates with our clients.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying pre-written content to develop the proposal/bid
  • Taking information provided by the individual contributors within the business development team to create responses, or drafting and writing PQQ and/or bid submission responses using persuasive and positive language
  • Conduct all necessary research to contribute to writing highly specific responses
  • Liaise with other departments to collate any relevant information
  • Issuing content for review and taking feedback to enable the further updating and editing required to create final draft content
  • Ensuring consistency between the content contributed by different individuals (i.e. that the proposal has 'one voice' throughout)
  • Uploading submissions to a variety of tendering portals


Working Pattern: Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours a week - Hybrid working

What can you bring?

Knowledge and Skills

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft packages, including MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Word
  • Knowledge and use of Adobe Indesign desirable
  • Excellent time-management skills and ability to adhere to tight deadlines
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a dedicated team
  • Enthusiastic, motivated and driven
  • Demonstrable high levels of commitment and initiative to ensure winning submissions

Experience and Qualifications

  • At least two years' experience of working in a busy bid writing environment
  • Compelling writing skills, with a high standard of spelling and grammar and the ability to interpret and tailor writing styles to a variety of audiences across multiple business sectors
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail with strong editing, proof-reading and formatting skills
  • Degree educated (ideally English Literature) or journalistic / professional writing background
  • Meticulous attention to detail with 100% accuracy
  • Ideally we would like to find an individual that has a flair for design, especially with the creation of imagery that will be used to support our sales efforts
