Are you an expert bid or proposals coach, looking for the next challenge to coach complex deals in a professional services environment? Are you exceptional at influencing teams at all levels and building relationships quickly, with the ability to constructively challenge senior stakeholders?
We are looking for a Pursuit Coach who is experienced at working with teams to develop and deliver winning pursuit strategies. You will lead by example, acting with the perspective of the client, shaping the win strategy and leading storyboarding sessions. You will focus on the proposal part of the sales cycle, as well as preparing the team in the lead up to this stage, working with the team and prospective clients to prepare for workshops and client interactions.
The role will sit in our Consulting Sales and Marketing team, a team that supports priority "must win" opportunities across the sectors. These are complex high-profile, strategic opportunities often involving alliances, multiple lines of service and multi-stage procurements.
Your responsibilities
In this role, the successful candidate will:
Model Pursuit best practice in everything you do, bringing energy, impact and strategic sales advice.
Provide coaching for early client conversations, presentations and negotiations.
Facilitate kick off, storyboarding and win themes sessions and provide independent review and challenge of win themes, proposals and other bid materials.
Make recommendations on relevant propositions and collateral to share with clients.
Carry out internal pitch team debriefs and conduct post-pitch feedback with the client.
Bring the best of PwC by connecting teams with relevant people and departments.
Train, inspire and upskill the practice so that they are better equipped to win work.
Work closely with other sales experts, to form a seamless value chain for our clients and stakeholders.
Be an active member of the Pursuits & Proposals capability and the wider Sales and Marketing function.
Skills and experience required
Proven track record in a similar Pursuit/Proposals coaching role, with an expert understanding of sales best practice and a client focused outlook.
Excellent influencing, strong communication and facilitation skills in order to be credible and be able to challenge management and senior stakeholders.
Ability to work at pace, to be proactive with a positive can-do approach.
Commercially minded and risk aware.
Ability to demonstrate client-centric views.
Understanding of the professional services market, as well as the broader economic outlook.
Self-starter able to work effectively as a member of a team.
The ability to form networks with partners and staff at all levels.
Emotional intelligence and an ability to flex style to the situation.

This role sits within the Sales capability, part of Sales & Marketing, PwC's centralised support function, and covers all aspects of professional services marketing, sales support and business development. We work together with the Clients and Markets Executive to build and sustain competitive advantage.
