BIM Technician

We are currently in search of a skilled Building Services Technician for our client-a Mechanical, Electrical, and Environmental Design Consultancy that specializes in delivering design-oriented services to clients in various sectors of the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

• Effectively manage multiple projects, organizing tasks to meet project lead-approved deadlines.
• Provide essential support to the Project Team in crafting and developing 3D models using Revit.
• Execute clash detection within Revit/Navisworks and collaborate with the Project Team to address identified issues.
• Contribute to the development of the Design MEP library of BIM objects.
• Adhere to Design MEP drafting procedures, aligning with ISO 19650 standards.
• Follow project-specific BIM Execution Plans.
• Utilize a Common Data Environment, such as Viewpoint For Projects.
• Demonstrate experience in producing working drawing packages and construction Phase BIM information.

Desired but not essential:

• Familiarity with MagiCAD for Revit.
• Practical knowledge of delivering COBie data.

Technical Ability:

The Technician should possess IT literacy, along with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD. A preference is given to candidates with a minimum of 2 years' experience in the associated specialism, ensuring exposure to all technical aspects of the role and a solid understanding of the industry.
