Block Maker Operative

The Job:
This is a fantastic opportunity for hard-working candidates to join a small, friendly, and approachable business that supports their employees. The role focuses on mixing aggregates together, damping the mix down, and then compacting it to make stone blocks. This is a physical role where successful candidates will be required to undertake duties using manual handling techniques. Some heavy lifting will be required therefore applicants should be physically fit and accustomed to this type of work.

Please note, that as you will be potentially working within dusty environments, adequate PPE will be provided.

Candidates who can demonstrate a reliable and positive attitude will be rewarded with a permanent position at the end of the probationary period.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Manufacturing hand-made reconstructed stone products.
• Mixing materials.
• Machine setting.
• Quality control.
• Finishing and packaging products.
• General cleaning duties.
• Unloading goods.

Successful candidates will be physically fit, hard-working, and enjoy a hands-on approach. As you will be working in various environments and manufacturing high-end bespoke products, adaptability and a sense of pride in what you will be producing is key. Our client is keen to hire a reliable individual capable of maintaining production schedules and meeting customer demands.

The Hours:
8.00am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
Hours to increase to 7.00am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday after integration.

The Salary:
£11.90 per hour.
