BMS Software Engineer

Based in Northwest (UK) – Hybrid working.
As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and implementing cost-effective, low-carbon energy solutions to our public and private sector customers across the UK.
Projects within this role are varied and you will be involved in partial and full upgrades of BMS controls and associated network infrastructure as well as the optimisation for the control strategies. You will also provide BMS support to our wider low-carbon energy solutions and the project delivery teams.

The Role:
- Carrying out detailed surveys to support energy efficiency and conservation initiatives.
- Assess the performance of BMS control strategies through different means.
- Working with different departments to ensure things are delivered to design specifications within timeframe and budgets.
- Support the modelling of potential energy saving initiatives by collecting existing or setting up new logs.
- Working with sub-contractors to design and cost saving initiatives for tenders, assessments and proposals.

- Supporting the commissioning, testing and handover of initiatives.
The Candidate:
- Knowledge and experience of BMS and HVAC control strategy design and operation.
- Qualified or experience with Trend BMS systems.
- Experience integrating HVAC plant into BMS with a good working knowledge of common high-level networks such as BACnet, Modbus, MBus.
- A knowledge or experience with Cylon, ALC, Siemens or Niagara would be advantageous but not essential.
- A knowledge and experience in Trend IQ Vision/N4 would be advantageous but not essential.
- Must have a full, clean driving license.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Ability to work as a team with a positive approach to dealing with clients and suppliers.
- Understanding of project delivery techniques
- Ability to find solutions to complex problems.
- Excellent Communication and customer service skills
