Body in the Library - Call out for Midlands based actors

Heartbreak Productions is casting a Detective Duo for a brand-new murder mystery show this June! Commissioned by Arts Council England and in partnership with Warwickshire Libraries, 'Body In The Library' is an interactive show for adults which will tour libraries in the West Midlands during National Crime Fiction Month.

We are casting a comedy Detective Duo who will interact with the audience during the show to solve the mystery collectively. This double act could be any age or gender! Most importantly, we are looking for performers with strong devising skills and a sense of play who are skilled at ad-libbing/audience interaction and are up for the challenge of working within non-traditional theatre spaces. We'd love to meet with Midlands-based team players who actively enjoy engaging in fast-paced devising projects.

We're particularly keen to hear from singers, musicians, physical performers (circus/puppetry a bonus!) who would also be comfortable driving a LWB van to the performances if necessary.

We are striving to diversify our cast and creative team and we are particularly keen to hear from global majority actors for this role.

Key dates:

Auditions: 14th April - North Hall, Leamington Spa (possible zoom first round on 5th April)

Rehearsal Dates:

12, 13, 18, 19, 20th May - North Hall Leamington (Devising)

27th - 31st May - North Hall, Leamington (Rehearsals)

+ 2 addition devising/rehearsal dates tbc

Performance dates:

6th, 7th, 14th, 15th June

Total fee for project:

£1690
