Job description

Manpower working in partnership with Aston Martin are hiring for 2024! Join the team and be part of the iconic brand's legacy, crafting luxury performance cars in a state-of-the-art facility.

Job Purpose:

Metal finishing panels to AML standards

Rectification of incorrect panel fitment painted / unpainted.

Removal of all dents / distortions / high spots

Completion of all standard process work as per process sheet.

3 Split shift pattern

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

Removal of all location tabs linish area to ensure all burrs are removed.
Dress & shape C pillar joints using graded paper, files and orbital sander.
Remove all E coat and primer runs using graded paper and block ensuring no damage to panels.
Rectification / removal of all dents, dings, distortions and high spots using appropriate tools (ie. Hammers, leavers, files, spoons, flappers and DA's).
Dressing areas after rectification is complete.
Rubbing down of roof ditch ensuring car is ready for paint application.
Adhere to relevant FLM checks.
Undertake processed activities following relevant QPS,WES or SPS detail.
Near miss reporting, Daily 5s activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

Time served apprentice essential.
Must have knowledge of composite panel repair techniques.
Hold a Tinsmith Qualification.
A Profiling Qualification would be desirable.
Previous experience of working within the automotive industry would be essential.
Must have high personal standards and a willingness to succeed and ensure a quality finish is applied to each car with an ability to recognise dents, distortions etc using sight, touch and light movement.

Ability to keep calm and focused as role can be high pressured to ensure quality is maintained.
Can do attitude, determination to see the task through to completion at the right quality level Flexibility to work shift patterns, overtime, weekends to achieve production targets
