Multi-Skilled Bodyshop Technician Required in Aylesford, Kent

• Panel Beater/ Coach Builder
• Salary: Competitive, £20 - £23 per hour (Salary Circa £47,800 + Overtime)
• Overtime and time and half
• Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Our client is a well-established family run business, operating with the Kent area for over 50 years. They specialise within the repair, refurbishment, and painting of all types of Camper vans & commercial vehicles, working on a diverse range of vehicles from GRP and Steel panelled refrigerated bodies to ambulances, coaches, tippers, curtainsiders, horseboxes and vans. They hold several repair authorisations from manufacturers such as Schmitz Cargobull, Fruehauf, Gray Adams & Lamberet.

They are seeking a Multi-Skilled Bodyshop Technician & Coach Builders with all round capabilities within Panel Beating and MET disciplines as their business expands.

• Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Overtime: Available and paid at time and a half
• Holidays: 23 days per annum (3 of these must be taken during the Christmas shutdown) plus Bank Holidays

Duties of a Multi-Skilled Bodyshop Technician with our Client:

• Building and repairing commercial vehicle bodies
• Panel beating and metalworking tasks.
• Mechanical, electrical, and trim repairs as required.
• Stripping and fitting vehicle components
• Carrying out minor mechanical repairs
• Adhering to manufacturer repair methods and guidelines
• Maintaining high-quality standards and meeting deadlines
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and trim faults
• Using diagnostic equipment to identify issues and recommend repairs
• Ensuring vehicles are restored to manufacturer standards.

What our client expects of their Multi-Skilled Bodyshop Technician

• Previous Time-Served Panel Beating or MET Experience
• ARC, Main Dealer, coach builders and bodyshop experience
• Preferably have a NVQ level 3 qualification
• ATA Panel Beating or MET accreditation is beneficial.
• Organisational and time management skills
• Hold a full UK Driving Licence.
• You must also have your own tools & equipment.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• A “can do” attitude and the ability to overcome problems.
• Right to live and work in the UK.
