Bookkeeper

Reed Accountancy currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Bookkeeper to join our Hungerford based client in a full time, permanent role. This is an integral part of the business working as the sole person in accounts for a well-established and dynamic SME.

Reporting into the owners you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.  The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a Senior Accounting role with proven experience of taking the accounts to Trial Balance and comfortable working on the daily transactional accounts.

Duties for the role include

• Purchase ledger invoicing
• Sales ledger invoicing and Credit Control
• Reconciling bank statements and monitoring cash flow
• Preparing monthly payroll and recording staff holiday
• Completing quarterly VAT returns
• Managing staff & customer contracts

Due to the size of the team there may be times where you are required to support with administrative duties and therefore a good “muck in” attitude is desired.

Knowledge of SAGE 50 would be advantageous alongside Excel experience. Suitable candidates will be either AAT studiers or QBE and have experience of working within varied accounting roles as well as having strong communication skills, and a strong attention to detail.

The role will be fully office based with working hours of 9:00 – 17:00. The business offers free onsite parking.
