Casual Box Office Agents

We are looking for Box Office Agents to join us on a casual basis. Our Box Office operates to a varied schedule including daytime, evening and weekends so during busy periods we can offer shifts suit most schedules. We are particularly keen to speak to candidates with weekday morning availability to support the team and assist our customers when our highest demand events go on sale.

Our Box Office Agents are the first point of contact for The National Ice Centre and Motorpoint Arena offering support and assistance to thousands of customers each year. The role is very varied so you can expect no two shifts to be the same.

Our Box Office team are responsible for the sale of tickets via the phone and in person, as well as assisting with online ticket bookings and answering queries in relation to the venue, events and Ice Sports activities. Our team have an excellent knowledge of the venue and a dedication to providing support to customers with accessibility needs to ensure the events taking place at the NIC and Motorpoint Arena are accessible to all.

Our Box Office Agents are fully informed of all events and activities taking place at NIC and Motorpoint Arena and offer accurate information to all customers. They undertake all necessary administration in relation to event ticket sales and assist with ticket dispatch. They are responsible for maintaining our customer database.

Providing the highest level of service is of paramount importance to us, so we are looking for individuals with exceptional customer service skills who are motivated to make every customer interaction the best it can be. You should have a positive and friendly manner when communicating with customers in person, over the phone and in writing and be confident in dealing with customer feedback. Strong written communication skills and an excellent attention to detail are essential. The successful candidates will ideally have worked within a customer service environment but a positive, can do, attitude is the most important thing.

To be successful you must have strong IT skills as you will be expected to quickly learn and utilise a number of different systems. You should already be familiar with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word and Excel. You will have a good awareness of the activities which take place at The National Ice Centre and Motorpoint Arena. You will thrive in a busy environment and work well under pressure. You should enjoy working as part of a team, be passionate about live events and be able to adapt to a changing environment.

Box Office Agents must be flexible in their working hours to cover a variety of shifts. Please include any days and times that you would regularly be available to work within your covering letter.
