Job description

Lettings Director / Senior Lettings Director

London Bridge & Bermondsey branches

Basic salary from £26,000 up to £34,000 per annum, depending upon experience

PLUS uncapped commission scheme, with a realistic OTE of £65,000 - £80,000 in your first year

PLUS Choice of Car or Car Allowance, Private Medical Insurance and many other benefits

Monday to Thursday, 8:45am to 6.00pm, Friday, 8:45am to 5:00pm, Saturday (on rota basis) 10:00am to 4:00pm

Requirements

The main responsibility of a Lettings Director is to take full accountability to drive and achieve / exceed the budget set for the branch and increase the profitability of the branch by growing the portfolio, by completing duties such as;

  • Continually monitoring the branch performance, analysing the branch outputs and identifying areas of improvements to meet targets and expectations,
  • Maintaining a comprehensive register, generating and winning market appraisals and instructions
  • Maintaining and increasing the managed portfolio, and balancing with Rent Collect and Let Only business
  • Coaching and motivating across the lettings team to achieve and exceed results, leading by example
  • Consistently driving and delivering an outstanding customer experience (5* reviews)
  • Ensuring legislative compliance and demonstrate strong industry knowledge

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following experience, skills and behaviours;

  • 3-5 years of work experience with a successful sales record in residential lettings (ideally UK experience)
  • People Management experience, ideally managing a team of 2 + people (1 year minimum)
  • Strong understanding of the residential lettings sector, the local lettings market, key legislation influencing the industry and marketing and sales strategies
  • Valid UK driving licence with less than 6 points
  • Ability to motivate and manage a team, effectively delegating and monitoring performance to ensure KPI's, SLA's and wider objectives are achieved. Recognises when required to mentor and support others to improve team performance
  • Driven to achieve results; perseveres during negotiations whilst maintaining excellent customer service levels at a professional standard.
  • Resilient and consistent when faced with conflict or delays and driven to resolve challenges positively and efficiently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, including strong listening skills with the ability to build rapport and long-standing relationships; to remain appropriate, accurate and in line with company expectations at all times.
  • High levels of numerical competency, able to calculate ratios, and to explain and coach consultants to understand their targets
  • Ability to be empathetic and/or assertive when required with a high emphasis on building relationships.
  • Strong time management skills with a structured and organised approach to workload, able to manage complex and fluid workloads, re-prioritising where required to ensure deadlines are achieved.
  • Strong IT skills, with a willing to learn and keep up to date, able to effectively utilise software to capture updates.
