- Full Time - 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday between 7am - 6pm
- Cambridge
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently plan, direct, and coordinate depot operations, ensuring safety and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage daily operations, staff, and sales activities, leveraging sales skills to meet targets.
- Prioritize safety of staff and customers, adhering to safety, health, and environmental policies.
- Foster exceptional customer experiences, striving for continuous improvement in satisfaction.
- Oversee production, sales, and distribution activities, optimizing productivity and goal achievement.
- Review financial statements and performance data, identifying areas for improvement.
- Drive employee engagement, leading and developing staff to create a cohesive team environment.
- Assist sales manager and team in achieving sales and profit targets.
- Maintain satisfactory operation of purchasing and stock control systems.
- Ensure security of premises and assets, including stock, office equipment, and confidential information.
- Determine staffing requirements, conduct hiring and training processes as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information at all times.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of engineering and welding processes preferred, but not mandatory (full training provided).
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations, such as the HASAW Act.
- Desirable understanding of ISO9002, with training provided as necessary.
- Previous management or supervisory experience.
- Proficient in numeracy, literacy, and administrative procedures.
- Possession of a valid, clean driving license.
- Strong communication skills, including email and word processing proficiency.
- Excellent telephone etiquette.
