We are looking for an experienced brand expert to help develop and execute our brand strategy as we expand our global reach. This person will also take the lead on marketing-related website projects, to ensure consistency in brand, tone and quality throughout.

The Brand and Digital Manager will be responsible for developing Oxford Nanopore's brand strategy to increase awareness, and ensure successful delivery - through maintaining the suite of brand guidelines, providing training across the business and leading the design and brand agencies we work with. They will also be the lead on marketing-related website projects to ensure consistent use of tone and brand, and high-quality delivery.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement Oxford Nanopore's brand strategy to ensure consistent use and increase brand awareness as we scale as a business.
- Train and support teams on Oxford Nanopore's Brand and how to apply it to ensure consistent application globally - including across events, marketing materials, sales assets, devices, packaging and Digital channels.
- Ensure the wider marketing team are brand champions and confident to advise others across the business.
- Develop and maintain the suite of brand guidelines, including subsidiary brands. Ensure they are regularly updated in line with requirements and accessible to the right people.
- Manage and maintain good relationships with the design and brand agencies used by Oxford Nanopore.
- Lead product photo-shoots and maintain Oxford Nanopore's digital asset library.
- Be the lead on marketing-related website projects, collaborating closely with the digital team for delivery and providing expertise during the content development process.
- Edit web content where required to ensure consistent use of tone and brand.
- Ensure the most relevant content is featured across the corporate website in line with marketing campaigns.
- Ensure web content is accessible, optimised for search and for displaying across different platforms.
- Understand the vision and tone of voice of Oxford Nanopore, where the customer is at the heart of our community, and we support the sharing of customer stories by customers. Ensure this tone is consistent across the website.
What we're looking for…
Crucial:
- A BSc degree or equivalent experience in a related genomics field, or in marketing/communications/English, or similar.
- Shown experience in brand management and brand development strategy.
- Experience developing and deploying brand guidelines.
- Experience working across different content management systems, developing and optimising content for the web.
- Management of external agencies.
- The ability to multitask and tackle multiple assignments.
- Brilliant presentation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work within, and maintain, excellent communication with multi-disciplinary teams.
- A hardworking self-starter who enjoys working in a team environment.

Desirable:
- Further writing, marketing, or project management qualifications.
- Adept at SEO standard processes and keyword selection.
- Basic HTML knowledge.
- Knowledge of the biotech industry.
