We are seeking a new Brand & Marketing manager to join our exciting team at Funicular Productions. We are at the forefront of immersive excellence in London, where award-winning theatre and dining experiences converge to redefine entertainment.
Brand and Marketing Manager
Purpose of the Job:
- Implement effective and innovative marketing, PR strategies and campaigns to promote the Funicular programme and activities.
- Create, plan and drive audience development objectives and related strategies that meet the needs of existing and potential audiences.
- Manage, coach and provide leadership to audience development and box office team.
- Ensure Funicular brand is represented appropriately in all areas of activity.
- In addition to the primary focus of events/shows, lead the marketing of the wider Funicular offering and seeking other revenue generating opportunities, i.e. Sponsorships and partnerships
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Brand and audience Development
- Analyse Funicular brand positioning and consumer insights
- Shape and communicate our vision and mission
- Translate brand elements into plans and go-to-market strategies
- Look to establish brand initiatives
- Lead creative development to motivate the target audience to “take action”
- Establish performance specifications, cost and price parameters, market applications and sales estimates
- Measure and report performance of all marketing campaigns, and assess ROI and KPIs
- Monitor market trends, research consumer markets and competitors’ activities
- Oversee new and ongoing marketing and advertising activities
- Monitor and engage with customer experience and consumer reactions/reviews
- Devise innovative growth strategies
- Align the company around the brand’s direction, choices and tactics
- Develop and implement a highly effective audience development and engagement strategy and action plan.
Sales, Marketing and PR
- Develop and implement marketing and PR campaigns for all Funicular shows. This includes investing in formative research, developing and implementing a plan including the generation of content marketing, paid media, e-communications, digital marketing, social and third party promotions. The campaigns need to drive ticket sales and also consider related merchandise and bar sales.
- Generate regular sales reports against marketing plans to demonstrate return on investment against activities, key findings, learnings and recommendations.
- Look to target potential sponsors, producing a comprehensive sales deck and plan to go-to-market, including costs and KPI’s
- Establish and maintain successful relationships with media agencies, ensure best value for money and report on effectiveness of the media to help guide on future campaigns.
- Plan, organise and manage opening night and press events.
Print and collateral
- Manage the process from design brief to distribution for all Funicular print and digital assets and be the Brand guardian to ensure consistency and tone Box Office and social
- Oversee the box office operation and team. Promote and implement an exceptional customer service approach and execute approaches to maximize audience development and ticket sales.
- Work with Marketing team to manage and update the website as required.
- Develop, manage and implement a content and social media plan and to ensure all online activities are fully-integrated in campaigns. Staff Management
- Line manage, coach and provide leadership for the audience development and box office team, ensuring an innovative and ‘can do’ work culture. Financial
- Contribute to the annual budget forecast and preparation process; monitor specific budgets and expenditure throughout the year and report to Operations Director on a regular basis.
Requirements and skills
- Proven working experience as Brand Manager or Marketing Manager (3 years minimum)
- Proven ability to develop Brand and Marketing strategies and communicate recommendations to senior team
- Experience in identifying target audiences and devising effective campaigns
- Understanding of sales and targeting sponsorship opportunities or other revenue streams
- Excellent understanding of the full marketing mix
- Strong analytical skills partnered with a creative mind
- Data-driven thinking and an affinity for numbers
- Outstanding communication skills
- Up-to-date with latest trends and Marketing best practices
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £34,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
