Job description

We are looking for a Breakfast Chef to work at our Aberdeenshire hotel based in Aboyne. If you like the sound of working at a well-run Hotel located at the foot of the Scottish Cairngorms, preparing breakfast dishes formed from the best ingredients Scotland has to offer look no further. Work rota is 5 days from 7 with NO split shifts.

Sick of paying too much for your rent? Cost of living and food going up? This position offers quality en suite accommodation at £80pw including all bills (council tax, rent, heating, electric, internet) and all meals on duty are provided free. You are also not overworked or expected to work any unpaid overtime.

Given our location and extensive grounds we are able to grow most of the fruit and vegetables from our walled garden and farm which ends up on our seasonal menu. Rare breed meat, game and fresh shellfish are regularly landing at the kitchen back door to go on specials. This property is a playground for any Chef who wants to work with the best ingredients Scotland has to offer in a beautiful rural location and well-run kitchen.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to create an innovative and appealing breakfast menu offerings.
  • Incorporate new ideas into the breakfast menu.
  • Responsible for preparing and cooking breakfast dishes to the highest standards.
  • Ensuring a memorable dining experience for hotel guests.
  • Prepare and cook breakfast items including eggs, bacon, sausages, pancakes, pastries and other breakfast dishes, ensuring guests get a well-prepared breakfast on time.
  • After breakfast kitchen cleardown and preparation for following day assist Head Chef with any required mise en place.
