St John's RC Academy is looking to recruit a Breakfast Club Assistant.
Set at the top of Perth's North Inch and overlooking the River Tay, St John's RC Academy is at the heart of the North Inch Community Campus. The 2-18 all-through school provides education for over one thousand children and young people from nursery to S6. The campus is a hub of opportunities for the local community, utilising state of the art sports and cultural facilities, offering a wide range of services for all ages.

St John's RC Academy is also a Fairtrade School and the first all-through school in the UK to achieve UNICEF's Rights Respecting Schools Level 2 Award.RequirementsThis position is required to support the Breakfast Club supervisor in the provision of a high quality service within the Breakfast Club setting, encouraging children to have a nutritious breakfast in a relaxed environment and to generate social engagement and participation in group or independent activity.
Duties include:• Assist in preparation of the breakfast room to support the club activity• Assist in the provision of high quality activities which meet group and individual needs• To talk & listen to the children and encourage a happy atmosphere• Liaise with parents as necessary to ensure that the individual needs of children are met• Contribute to the work of the staff team through active participation in teammeetings, training and development opportunities• Work within the policies and procedures of the service and contribute to their regular review incl. equal opportunities and equality of access• Implement all policies and procedures relating to the protection of children, including the recording and reporting of concerns• Work to ensure the health, safety and well being of children attending the service• Contribute to the maintenance of accurate child records, registration, and attendance informationThe IndividualIf you would like any more information regarding this vacancy, please contact Cheryl Gahan on 01738 454300.
