A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A BREAKFAST MANAGER AT THE PRINCIPAL YORK
Managing the Breakfast Team at The Principal York, you will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of Breakfast, always ensuring a high standard of customer service, and ensuring our guests expectations are exceeded on a daily basis.
What you’ll be doing …
- Supervise and manage the Breakfast Shift and Garden Room morning shift, ensuring high levels of service and cleanliness at all times.
- Lead the Breakfast and Garden Room Team in delivering an excellent, personalised guest service, ensuring expectations are always exceeded.
- Collaborate with all hotel departments to ensure seamless coordination between Breakfast service and overall guest service within the hotel.
- Managing the daily, weekly and monthly checklists for the department, ensuring compliance.
- Serve as duty manager as needed, taking responsibility for the smooth operation of the hotel during designated duty manager shift, and handling any emergencies or incidents that may arise.

To succeed in the role of Breakfast Manager, you will need the following qualities and skills:
- Experience of managing a busy breakfast or food and beverage service, preferably within a medium to large hotel.
- Supervisory experience.
- Excellent Customer Service and High Attention to detail.
