Key Responsibilities:
- Performing and interpreting mammograms, ultrasound scans, and breast MRI scans
- Conducting image-guided breast biopsies and other interventional procedures
- Collaborating with breast surgeons, oncologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases and contribute to treatment decisions
- Ensuring compliance with clinical governance, quality standards, and professional regulations
- Contributing to audit, research, and quality improvement initiatives in breast imaging
Requirements:
- Full GMC registration and a license to practice
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
- Completion of specialist training in Radiology
- Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists or equivalent qualification
- Subspecialty training or experience in Breast Radiology
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Consultant Breast Radiologist
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-working skills
