The role:
We are currently looking for a Brewing FLM who will manage the team’s daily and weekly activities, to produce the right amount of beer, in a safe environment, according to the highest standard of quality and at the lowest cost possible, following the AB InBev ways of working and adhering to department KPI’s.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Balance pursuit of new ways of working with sustained VPO implementation.
  • Implement structured target setting for department KPIs.
  • Use VPO tools for safety, quality, and production efficiency.
  • Ensure proper VPO tool application by operators.
  • Foster team flexibility for current and future business needs.
  • Develop individuals and teams through training and coaching.
  • Ensure effective department-wide communication and coordination.
  • Adhere to production schedules, optimizing manpower for packaging and quality needs.
  • Share accountability for maintenance and utility cost performance.
  • Address safety concerns, report relevant team KPIs, and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Work the necessary hours and be available 24/7 on call as required.
Who we’re looking for:
  • Possess or be willing to study for the IBD Diploma in Brewing.
  • Demonstrate experience in managing teams to meet deadlines.
  • Have a track record of managing and developing teams to achieve targets and KPIs.
  • Showcase experience in high-speed production in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
  • Demonstrate expertise in managing and controlling budgets.
  • Exhibit experience in handling significant change issues.
  • Possess excellent knowledge of manufacturing principles, tools, and techniques.
  • Showcase strong organizational skills and a commitment to deadlines.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills, with an open communication style, motivating and inspiring staff.
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, sound knowledge of the brewing process, including yeast and fermentation cycles, good analytical and problem-solving skills, a results-focused mindset, and a highly structured and systematic approach to delivering business solutions.
