Join the dynamic Highway Asset Maintenance Team at Doncaster Council as a Bridges Engineer. This is a pivotal role in delivering capital funding allocation for structural maintenance of highway assets. Day to Day of the role:- Work closely with the Senior Engineer to deliver professional and customer-focused Bridge and Highway Structure schemes across the city.
- Engage in all stages of bridge and highway structures schemes, from feasibility and funding to design and construction.
- Communicate effectively with a variety of audiences, both internally and externally, to provide an essential service to our customers.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with customers and relevant partners.
- Ensure the delivery of projects is to the highest standard, within budget and time constraints.
- A sound engineering background with knowledge of bridge and highway structures.
- Experience through feasibility, funding, design, and construction stages of infrastructure projects.
- Strong engagement and communication skills across varying audiences.
- Ability to work in a busy environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Solutions and results-focused with a willingness to challenge and manage change.
- Team player who can also work independently when required.
