They are looking for an experienced TA who has experience in British Sign Language and who understand the challenges and joys of working with young children who are hearing impaired. The position is general in-class support - you may be expected to work one to one, in small groups or providing general in-class support as required. You will be required to work with small groups of secondary age pupils, assisting them with their literacy and numeracy skills and helping to keep them on task. The ideal candidate will be an experienced SEND teaching assistant who has worked with hearing impaired children using BSL in a special needs environment.
