The BSO Procurement and Logistics Service (PaLS) is the sole provider of professional supplies and services to Health and Social Care (HSC) Trusts, Board and Agencies in Northern Ireland (NI) covering contracting, logistics, warehousing, purchasing, capital equipping, ICT and E-commerce. It is an accredited Centre of Procurement Expertise (CoPE) established under the NI Public Procurement Policy (2002, as amended)..

Candidates must be a full member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS)Or have at least three years (in the last ten) experience at a senior management level within the procurement function in a large complex organisation.Hold at least a primary degree in a relevant discipline (management or business).Have at least three years (in the last ten) experience at a senior management level within the procurement function in a large complex organisationOr in the absence of at least a primary degree or a professional qualification, have at least four years (in the last ten) experience at a senior management level within the procurement function in a large complex organisationThis experience should be within a procurement function i.e. the candidate is expected to have general commercial experience, and in particular, experience of day-to-day sourcing and transactional implications in a procurement setting.Senior management level within a procurement function means: the candidate has held a high level of responsibility for managing the day to day business tasks (such as planning and supervising), within the procurement function of their own department
