Volunteer position only
Hours: Variable
Location: Home based
Role Purpose: To support the Fair4All project team with administrative duties on a Voluntary basis.
Specific Responsibilities:
The Fair4All Card is a successfully established project which helps build a fairer, more accessible and inclusive society for disabled people. The Fair4All Card is a secure photocard used by disabled people to prove their legal entitlement to reasonable adjustments in everyday life. Reasonable adjustments might include needing to lip-read, needing an accompanying carer, having access to a disabled toilet or seating, etc The Card is designed to be simple and easy to recognise and read. For this reason, you can use the Card anywhere! Many shops, services and organisations are starting to recognise the Fair4All Card. This means that we give them formal accessibility training, however this does not mean that the card can only be used in those locations. We have had successes with cards being used all over the country, and even internationally! We are looking for volunteers to help run the project as Evidence checkers.
Specific Responsibilities:
With strong support of the team leader, and as part of the Fair4All Project team:
- Be part of the BuDS Fair4All Project team and take part in weekly team meetings and briefings
