About the role:
We have an interesting role available within our Property and Construction department where you will be responsible for the Project Design and Delivery Team’s BIM strategy. This role will lead setting the Council’s BIM standards to enable new construction projects to be successfully delivered.
About you:
We are looking for someone who has experience of BIM procedures and use in design practices. You’ll need to be able to design, establish, prepare work programmes, write and present clear and concise reports all while dealing with complex technical issues.
We need a leader who can motivate and develop staff and have excellent organisational, planning and writing skills.
You’ll need to be able to use Autodesk Revit proficiently and be able to audit, critique and review colleagues work.
You’ll have the opportunity to develop on your already existing knowledge of relevant statutory regulations, guidance and policy relating to design, contractual obligations and construction of projects. As well as your knowledge of engineering standards for building projects.
We do ask that you have an appropriate professional level qualification in architecture, engineering or construction such as RIBA Accredited Qualification to Part 2 or above or an ACIAT recognised qualification or equivalent experience. We also require you to have BIM/Revit training courses or equivalent experience.
