Pro-Found Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Building Repairs Insurance Surveyor to join their clients team based in Ripley, Derbyshire. Our client is a well-established construction company who specialise in insurance claim repairs to residential properties covering the East Midlands, with the majority throughout Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
Building Repairs Insurance Surveyor Benefits:
- Salary: Circa 35k depending on experience

- Core Hours: Monday to Friday 7.30am to 5pm

Building Repairs Insurance Surveyor Role:
- The Building Repair Insurance Surveyor position includes surveying, validating and scoping insurance claims projects
- Utilising software systems including Symbility, Xactware and Blueprint
- Working on a caseload of insurance claims through different loss adjusters/insurance companies
- Surveying, estimating repairs works and providing the scope of works
- Liaising with other team members in the management of the repair works
- Providing instructions and support to tradesmen undertaking the works and discussing variations where necessary
- Checking progress of works and carrying out site checks
- Keeping policyholders and clients updated throughout the lifecycle of the claim.
Building Repairs Insurance Surveyor Criteria:
- As an experienced Building Repair Insurance Surveyor you will need experience of working within the insurance industry relating to residential property
- We require you to have a thorough understanding of the property insurance claims process, experience in accurately assessing damage, and repairs needed, and producing a scope of works
- Technical building works experience would be an advantage but is not essential
- Claims scoping and management software experience, ideally you will have a good working knowledge of Symbility & Xactware (or similar client portal/scoping tools)
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Experience of working in a customer focused environment
- IT literate with ability to learn new technology
- Professional approach
- Good communication and organisational skills
- A strong focus on customer service
- Excellent team player
- Knowledge and experience of all insurance related perils such as fire, flood, escape of water, storm damage etc.
