Building Safety Manager - £46,000 - £58,000 + Package - Manchester
We are seeking a safety professional to join a well-established Housing Association with an incredibly diverse and exciting stock, you will work closely with a team of technical specialists and established Building Safety Managers. You will also have line management responsibility for a small team of Building Safety technical coordinators.
As the Building Safety Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Collaboration: Working closely with Lead Building Safety Managers, the Head of Service, the Director of Building Compliance, and the Strategic Building Safety Team.
- Leadership: Manage a team of Building Safety Technical Coordinators.
- Safety Management: Ensure buildings are safe for occupancy, meeting requirements of the Building Safety Act.
- Documentation: Assist in producing Building Safety Case Reports to obtain Building Assessment Certificates.
- Operational Duties: Maintain Building Safety through maintenance reviews, risk assessments, fire safety reviews, and structural evaluations.
- Procurement and Data Management: Oversee procurement of specialist services and manage key Building Safety data, adhering to procurement processes and systems.
The ideal Building Safety Manager will have:
- Expert Knowledge: Proficient in Building Safety, including operational maintenance of fire systems and M&E systems.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communicator, experienced with diverse stakeholders including residents, corporate health and safety, and housing management teams.
- Qualifications: Either hold or be working towards a Level 4 qualification in Building Safety.
- Technical Skills: Highly computer literate, capable of managing data across various systems.
- Mobility: Full driving license and daily access to a vehicle for site visits.
