We are recruiting for a Building Services Engineering Technician Apprentice to join our friendly and innovative London Building Services (MEP) team, who are involved in a wide variety of challenging and exciting projects.

London Southbank University will provide an excellent programme of study on a day-release basis. Starting salary for this role is £27,000 plus additional benefits.
What will I be doing?
- Supporting engineers and undertake detailed mechanical or electrical engineering Building Services design and calculations (using both software and knowledge to verify robust calculations).
- Preparing engineering system drawings and equipment schedules, contribute to the production of design development reports.
- Being part of the team as a technician generating design drawings using Building information modelling software on projects learning from colleagues and benefiting from our in house training
- Participating in engineering forums and organise Continual Professional development events with manufacturers of equipment and systems.
What do I bring to this role?
- A keen interest in the built environment and a strong desire to learn new skills and software
- Good communication skills and a team oriented focus, including an ability to work in a team environment
- A positive and inquisitive approach and the confidence to ask and respond to challenging questions
Desired Qualifications options in addition to 5 GCSEs A-C including Maths and English or equivalent (reformed GCSEs grade 4 or above) and either:
- A Level EEE - Must include Mathematics and preferably a Science in either Chemistry or Physics (UCAS points: 48)
- T-level (Pass or above) in Construction: Design, Surveying and Planning. (UCAS points: 72)
- BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma MPP in an Engineering subject area or Construction and Built Environment area (Must include Mathematics and Further Mathematics) (UCAS points: 64)
- BTEC Level 3 National Diploma MM in an Engineering subject area, with a minimum of merit in Mathematics and Further Mathematics. (UCAS points: 64)
- Building Services Engineering Technician level 3 apprenticeship MP (UCAS points: 48) alongside grade Pass or Distinction at EPA
