Key Qualifications and Skills:
Highly organized and dependable professional committed to a long-term career with the company.
Minimum of 4 year's of post-qualification experience.
Proven track record of managing projects from inception to completion, encompassing new construction, refurbishment, and insurance reinstatement.
MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) qualification.
Alternatively, non-Chartered Surveyors with a minimum of 5 years' experience in the insurance market will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with loss adjusters, assessors, and clients to determine project requirements.
Offer initial advice to secure project instructions.
Attend meetings with loss adjusters, assessors, and clients to discuss project progress.
Regularly update loss adjusters and assessors on project developments.
Inspect properties and create schedules of works, specifications, and comprehensive reports.
Work in conjunction with loss adjusters and clients to finalize project specifications and schedules.
Oversee the tendering process and prepare detailed tender reports.
Provide regular progress reports to all relevant parties on a weekly or monthly basis.
Foster strong relationships with loss adjusters and assessors.
Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate the condition of existing buildings, identifying defects and proposing repair solutions.
Requirements:
Registered Building Surveyor with RICS.
Possession of a full UK Driving License and willingness to travel extensively within the UK when necessary.
Minimum of 4 year's post-qualification experience.
Self-motivated with the ability to perform under pressure.
Demonstrated ability to establish lasting professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
Proficiency in negotiation, presentation, and report writing.
Enthusiastic and motivated to take on significant responsibilities.
Proficient IT skills, including computer-aided design expertise.
