Buildings And Asset Surveyor

Building and Assets Surveyor, permanent career opportunity for a qualified (RICS) and experienced Buildings Surveyor, ideally educated to HNC/HND in Mechanical/Engineering, with 3-5 years' experience working in assets validation. Working on a home working basis, with UK wide travel, the salary offered is in the region of £55k plus enhanced pension and holiday scheme, paid travel expenses and overnight stay aways plus a range of additional benefits.

The work involves working with the MOD and Government Buildings and facilities; therefore you will need proven track record of undertaking extensive asset surveys and Asset conditioning, undertaking building materials and fabric surveys, including space planning. Responsible for accurately reporting building conditions, both internal and external, with a solid understanding and sound knowledge of asset management requirements.

As Building and Assets Surveyor, you will demonstrate experience of utilising mobile data capture and reporting tools, able to amend/draw outline building plans with a good understanding of managing multiple building and property portfolios including building infrastructure. Naturally you will have previous experience and knowledge of general statutory and contractual legislative conditions and requirements, working in the field with a team of inspectors and building management.

There is a need to conduct condition surveys on both mechanical and electrical equipment and buildings across a wide range of MOD and Government sector properties, therefore you will need to undertake SC Clearance, have lived in the UK with full British Citizenship for a continuous 5 year period.
