Job description
We are seeking to appoint a Buildings and Systems Supervisor to help us look after our wonderful building and the huge variety of things that we do in and around it.
The post holder will assist in all aspects of running a busy public building, ensuring high levels of service, presentation and housekeeping are maintained at all times. You will oversee the operation, maintenance and performance of all building systems and control software including heating, ventilation, lighting control systems, CCTV, access control, intruder alarm, data networks and infrastructure, key management, emergency lighting and fire alarm.
With good interpersonal skills, you will work with other building users to ensure that key management and security systems are fully operational and properly used and maintained. You will work closely with the front of house and events teams to ensure smooth delivery of events and you will be required to participate in the on-call rota for the museum. You will be a friendly and approachable individual, with excellent communication skills, a commitment to high standards of work, and an ability to remain calm and cordial while working in a busy environment.
