This position for an Building Design Engineer, will focus on the mechanical aspects of buildings, such as HVAC and ducting, for the construction industry, both commercial and domestic, specifically at the high end of the market, clients including museums, universities and equestrian facilities.
As a Buildings Design Engineer, you will be part of an expanding multi-disciplined buildings and services consultancy who provide an extremely high level of service to their clients, this being driven by the people who work within the company priding themselves on their approach and standards.
To join this growing organisation as a Buildings Design Engineer you will:
- Have undertaken a recognised training programme and hold at least B.Eng
- Have a superior knowledge of current regulations (BS7671, BS5839, BS5299) and future homes standard.
- Be, or working towards Chartered status
- Have skills to carry out RIBA stage 0 to 6
- Read and produce drawings and specifications to an extremely high standard
- Have advanced skills in HEVACOMP, or similar IES/TAS
You will take responsibility for a project from start to finish, attending meetings, liaising closely with colleagues and contractors, carrying out all designs, calculations, schedules, specifications and drawings within budgets and to time, obtaining quotes from providers, conducting site visits ensuring adherence to plan and regulations, coordinate services installation and keeping clients and colleagues aware of each projects progression.
