- Bus Driver – Roles and Responsibilities
- Operate buses in a safe and responsible manner, following all traffic laws and company policies to ensure the safety of passengers and other road users
- Provide excellent customer service to passengers, including assisting with boarding and disembarking, answering questions, and resolving any issues in a courteous and professional manner.
- Follow designated routes and schedules, making stops as required. Communicate effectively with the dispatch team to report delays or other issues that may impact the schedule.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus, reporting any mechanical issues or concerns promptly.
- Maintain open and effective communication with passengers, colleagues, and supervisors. Report incidents, accidents, and other relevant information in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulations, including those related to safety, attendance, and performance.
Bus Driver – Skills and Experience
- Valid PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle) license.
- Valid Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
- Excellent driving record with no major traffic violations.
- Previous experience as a Bus Driver preferred.
- Six points or less than on licence.
